“My parenting skills have grown better. I know now about the importance of keeping healthy in my body and my mind for my son and myself. We can get things we really need because of the PATH Clinic help. We have amazing support that we didn’t have and very much needed, also motivation to be a great mother in every way. The PATH Clinic gives great hope. I am completely gracious for it being here.”   BJN

“I began attending the PATH Clinic in late November and their services have been wonderful. Through the whole time I have been with the PATH Clinic, I have been sober. I don’t think I could have stayed sober this long without their classes and support. The classes have taught me valuable lessons on my health, how to stay sober, the health of my baby and how to have healthy relationships with those around me.

Dr. Wright is always available to see me or I can also see the nurse. I feel very comfortable and welcome at the PATH Clinic. With their help and support I am drug and alcohol free. I am healthy and am going to give birth to a healthy baby boy.

I pray that they stay in operation for a long time so they can keep helping people like me stay clean and have healthy, happy babies.”  AG

“This is my first pregnancy. Because of the PATH Clinic I have found support, resources, doctor care, and classes that have helped me grow into a new person and soon to be mother. The PATH Clinic has given me the chance no other program has to be myself and remain clean/sober. Without the PATH Clinic I honestly don’t know who I would’ve turned to throughout my pregnancy. To meet other members has made me stronger and the staff here have made me into a better person. The classes and lunch and doctor visits are just the little things. There is sooo much more they have that are offered. It has helped a lot. Please hear me out when I write the PATH Clinic is place that needs to stay!”  J.S.

“I am a patient of the PATH Clinic. I fully support the PATH Clinic continuing their special services.  The medical treatments from the OB/GYN and psychological area are vital and delicate in their professions. They take a thorough understanding evaluation of you. They are sensitive to your needs regardless of medical coverage.

Not only do they provide basic prenatal care, this clinic covers a variety of drug education classes, parenting workshops, healthy relationships, and also has a day out of the week to do activities such as sewing, hands-on care with children and free discussions with one of the healthcare professionals.

The clinic is unique in its own way.  First, it is located in a house which is very warming for the women and children. Secondly, they have a generous incentive program for active participation in groups and other areas in the clinic.  They will also provide cab rides to and from the clinic, if you don’t have any transportation. It is wonderful, knowing that you’re in for a comfortable ride especially during pregnancy. The PATH Clinic is providing things beyond its mission statement and calling; such as its social work, for instance if you don’t have any housing they will work with you immediately to find a solution temporarily, until something more permanent turns out, which is more than I can say about other services that just gives you the wait and run arounds.  A lot of women like me were lost in the system and didn’t have any reliable answers or referrals to be directed to. Luckily for the PATH Clinic’s outstanding social work they will make the time for you to get whatever help or concern it is that you need and make forward progress.  Lastly, I would like to compliment their family-based environment.  The staff here is very welcoming and supportive throughout all your needs. They are non-judgmental and confidential with any information you share, which makes it really less-discouraging. Being open and honest knowing that you are coming from a challenging background or presently being challenged and able to come to a place like this and have some peace are very encouraging and reassuring on your conscience.  Sometimes they have family-like gatherings on the holidays and they provide food, fun, and games for the women and children and it’s just a great feeling for people who don’t have any family there for them.

I hope to see the PATH Clinic in the future still operating on its remarkable purpose.  One day I seriously wanted to end my life because I didn’t know what to do, who to turn to, and how to do, until I looked up when I was riding city bus and read the PATH Clinic’s advertisement.  They took care of me and other women and their families. This clinic needs to stay open for the sake of people like us in these trialing times of our lives; individually and specifically in REAL RESULTS for programs to help us become a productive member of society.”  N.N.
